Split to Hvar

It's been a couple of days since our last posting. We've covered some ground since then. Set sail from Split Wednesday morning and moored up in Hvar, an ancient port made of stone. The dock, stores, restaurants, post office, churches all made of stone brick. We had little or no wind so our course was mostly motored. Though we did have an enjoyable period of sails only, where we maintained a speed equal to our speed while motoring. All in all the experience was very pleasurable.

We were a bit off season so the locals look at us strangely. You have to remember the current generation was born under Soviet Communist rule. We had a great meal in Hvar and Mary got the last bite of dessert.

Onward to Komiza...
